Honda S2000 here!

The Honda S2000 has gone on sale in Australia - with Honda having already pre-sold 400 of the slinky roadsters. The S2000's four-cylinder engine develops 176 kW - more power per litre than any other normally aspirated production car in the world. It propels the S2000 to 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 241 km/h. It is also remarkably efficient and flexible, thanks to the latest generation of Honda's VTEC variable valve timing. The light and compact 2.0-litre VTEC engine is mounted longitudinally behind the front axle line, contributing to the S2000's ideal 50:50 weight distribution. It is linked to an all-new, compact six-speed manual transmission with a short-throw shift action. The S2000 features several technologies that combine to produce the lowest emissions of any petrol-powered sports car yet released and the all-new body achieves major advances in crash safety and rigidity, despite its open-top design. The S2000 is priced at A$69,950. Go to www.s2000.honda.com.au for more.
